        It reflects a growing trend among wealthy Saskatonians eager for “more space, more privacy and more land,” according to Jordan Boyes, owner and broker at Boyes Group Realty Inc., which is listing the property. 

      “I think a lot of the city neighbourhoods, it’s too tight, everyone’s looking into each other’s back yards, so people are preferring acreages that are still within almost city limits,” Boyes said of the home, which is about five kilometres north of Saskatoon.

       Acreages close to the city are becoming more popular for a variety of reasons. Boyes said some people want space to play with their “toys” — snowmobiles and ATVs — while others want a convenient place to unwind and a few are eager to own a “showpiece.”
